From the corner of her eye, Alyssa swore the adult beside her had something on her face.
Staring was impolite, but she was a very curious little girl. Possibly too curious.
With a few rigid movements of her back, she leaned slowly at her neighbour.

“I’m Alyssa…” That was a very awkward start. But her presence is acknowledged.
The taller girl nodded, without displaying any hospitality, or emotion. Well, other than a teeny, tiny hint of a pout.

From a distance you could tell she showed no effort in hiding the fact that she has been unceremoniously face planted by her dog-in-training. You kids call them Digimon.
