QUIET!
 
My submission for NATG X: Day 3! Today’s prompt was “Draw a pony filled with rage / Draw a pony about to lose it.” And so here’s simply some Glimmerage from “The Cutie Map.” I wasn’t really feeling super up to drawing today so I just went for a simple bust drawing for something easier. So no interesting take on the prompt today. And superrage Glimmer face was still definitely quite fun to draw, haha. But I did at least also decide to try and experiment with some soft shading again! I wanted to see if I could apply some of what I learnt with doing the cel-shading sometimes and also with some colour theory about shadow and light I learnt a little while ago. I actually think I did not a half bad job. It’s not perfect and I think my particular airbrush method of doing shading isn’t super ideal and particularly makes it difficult to do manes right. Really each highlight in Starlight’s mane should have different highlight and shade colours, but I just used the same airbrushed colour for all of them because otherwise it’s much too much effort with the way I use layers in my drawing. But all-in-all I think it’s perhaps the most happy I’ve been with this shoft shaded approach! So that’s definitely good I feel :)
