soon enough the crew had been gathered in the hangar of the ship, doubling now as the townhall, war room and entrance of the ship.
Amy: “Alright everyone listen up, i have heard rumors of a synth revolt, and can tell you, they are half true, the reptiloids, the ones we call brothers and equals, have not betrayed us, as the evidence GAthered by Pathfinder Starhunt proves the Reptiloids suffered attacks and sabotage by the insectoids they were overseeing, in these acts a fabricator system had been stolen as well, meaning the insectoids are in fact able to increase their numbers.”
this seemed to worry a few of them.
“the fabrication systems afforded to first wave efforts hold exactly zero martial applications, and the tools available are similarly not given any specifications on how to weaponize them. meaning we are facing the equivalent of peasant mobs, the most they can do is hole up behind walls. security is instructed to avoid close quarters combat and shoot to disable the power sources, research and development will give all onboard firewalls a thorough inspection so that our own insectoid workforce stays on our side, as well as develop ways to either bring the rogue units back in line or disable their communications, remember everyone, the insectoids need a network connection in order to make intelligent decisions, disconnected they are like animals, and will not seek confrontation… regardless we advise against long walks in the mountains for now.”
a few laughed, she let them.
“all that said, we have plenty of things to do and a good location to do them in, as our immediate surroundings are fairly temperate, time we set up greenhouses and habitats, by the end of the week this will be the first city… which reminds me, name suggestions will be accepted until friday… oh and yes, this planet has proven to be the size and rotation for a 24 hour day and a 420 day year. in tune with alliance standard time.”
