Try a new hobby. It's fun talking about new ones with people.

Here's easy ones to learn:

1. Foraging (Black walnuts are in season now!)

2. Cooking (You'll make people's mouths water)

3. Baking (Slightly harder. Better to try after learning cooking, but you'll earn brownie points)

4. Bicycling (Not as good for talking about, but exercise is good for the body, including the brain.)

5. Smoking. **Don't** start this one if you don't already smoke! It's bad for you! Especially tobacco or hard drugs!

But if you already smoke and have tried and failed to quit, then smoking hooka, various flavors or blends of pipe tobacco, legal plants, or marijuana is something many people enjoy talking about. I don't remember what it was called, but I smoked a wild African plant once with a friend of mine, and it distinctly tasted like lays barbecue chips. The negatives outweigh the positives, but smoking often acts as a social lubricant between acquaintances that makes it easier to talk about other things as well.

6. Woodworking. This one takes some capital to start getting into if you don't have the tools already, but can be highly rewarding.

7. Fishing. Sometimes, the best thing is _*not_* having to talk about anything. There's something beautiful about getting out to a lake and shutting your mouth for a few hours.

8. Music. This is a big one. Can be daunting but there are many friendly tutorials on the internet. I play piano and make YTPMV personally. The YTPMV community is kinda stupid sometimes, but usually very friendly and diverse. You're bound to make friends if you stick with *any* kind of music.

In any case, not having enough to talk about can sometimes be a sign that you just need more inspiration. It's not easy, but if you can manage to go out there and try things even if you don't feel like doing them, you might start to feel excited and want to share them with others.

Hope that helps. /)
