Description

Axe Ref Sheet [Clean]
NSFW version questionable
Axe is a switch, it’s hard to know whether they’ll be interested in mounting or being mounted until it happens, but they do have a taste for smaller partners when they’re interesting in doing the mounting. Axe has very few successful clutches due to an impulse to consume their own eggs, due to trauma earlier in life, but they do have surviving offspring, including a hybrid child raised by a blue dragon mother.
Generally solitary, but not unsocial, Axe is particularly curious of humans and this has got them in trouble more than once. They have a taste for exotic partners, but usually aren’t interested in keeping their mates around for companionship.
Axe’s normal territory is fairly standard for their species, and they prefer to stay within easy flying distance of the coast, but rarely live right on it, to avoid storms. With a fairly strong self preservation instinct, Axe doesn’t usually flirt with trouble, but their curiosity sometimes out does them and causes problems. They like to sunbathe after big meals. Some Skerry dragons are good singers, Axe is not one of them.
Somewhat anxious, Axe’s anxiety manifests as increased aggression, which has gotten them a name for being grumpy or angry, neither of which is particularly true. Though they are introverted, and tend to give the cold shoulder when socially drained, and are bad at balancing this with their desires to interact with others.
Has no long term mate, but has a close friend in another dragon: Chalk.
Rather territorial, Axe doesn’t back down from their chosen roost easily. Although they can be displaced by simply existing in their space without directly challenging them for it. Has been chased out of roosts multiple times by irate human locals after picking off their sheep or cattle.
The coloured scales on the throats of Skerries shed after the breeding season, and hold their colour for a couple of years left untreated, this makes fresh shed a valuable resource for those who can afford it, and the scales can be seen on expensive clothing. In some areas this is scavenged for by humans, in other areas more savvy dragons trade it for other goods. Gold and jems appeal to Skerries, but they have more value in fishing nets/repairs for nets, and waterproofed leathers and similar materials.
