Kinda sad it didn’t make it to the movie and we got a more friendly and fussy dragon instead (I guess this one is too scary for the kids)

I really love how this design captures the character of the South East Asian Dragon (or Naga) so well.
(much accurately than the latest version did, in my opinion)

As I’m Thai, I’m much growing up with Naga legend and stories, I draw them pretty often when I was a kid.
Seeing Disney’s animaters studied on this mystical animal and drawing them into so many styles is just like a dream came true.
I can’t wait to get the Art of Raya and the Last Dragon book. ^^
