Spike, excited over just receiving his new wings, wanted to test them out immediately. He wanted to start off quick with Rainbow Dash but she didn’t think he was quite ready for her speed. The only other friend Spike knew who could teach him was Fluttershy. He was reluctant due to how slow he knew her to be. Once he began taking off with her, however, he realized that her type of pacing was just what he needed. A nice, relaxing glide was the best way to get used to his new wings.
