“Fotalia.”An ultimate combination of my other combinations of Taokaka from BlazBlue, Felicia from Darkstalkers and Miss Fortune from Skullgirls.AKA, Return of the Buckle Panties.All problems with this design were in deciding whether to focus more on combining the original three designs, or to combine my resulting three designs. Taokaka, as being the ‘masked’ character, presented the biggest problem. I didn’t want the final design to have the hood up, as that was only present on Taokaka, and it tends to dominate the design. Yet, two of the combos had it up. I ended up having to push Taokaka down a bit, in favor of bringing up more personality from the other two.You can find the bits of each design here and there. Taokaka’s little pigtails, the resulting half-jacket… thing. Her tail, eye color base and general tonality. Felicia’s crazy ass fur and overall hair hue, with her hair style being most prominent. Miss Fortune occupies a lot of the rest of the design’s more minor features - mainly clothing, which can easily make it seem she’s most dominant. And of course, since I was pulling elements from the combos at the same time, the fact that they were already merged means the features are already blended down.Color theory? What a mess. Again, do I use the combos? Do I use the originals? After trying to shove everything together, I decided to do a little of both and slightly alter the hue on several items to try to unify the palette. A lot of my original problems were with the coat, which used to be much longer, and darker. By pulling in that area and making it a lighter tone, near the skin color, it does very scientific stupid shit things to the design that make it not dumb. Take my word for it.The worst part was the name. Taokaka, Miss Fortune, Felicia. They barely share the same letters, and no real relationship between syllables and no commonalities in vowels. I managed to shove the names together in several ways but all sounded very ugly. One looked almost just like ’fellatio.’ A catgirl with gigantic feet and clawed paws with a penchant for blowjobs? Yeah, I’m sure many are weeping. So instead I went with the one that almost sounds like it implies she may be a dickgirl. An obvious improvement…? Look, you’re either getting your dick torn off or you’re getting a little something for everyone. Either way she’s bad news in buckle panties.
