Acruen Emissary
When the Acruen dispatch one of their number within human societies, it is usually as a Husk: a human body that has had an Acruen personality core implanted within their brains, so that the Acruen can operate in secrecy.

However, at times, deploying an actual Acruen body is considered necessary. These have a great deal of variations, but generally, they are meant to appear at least marginally human so as to be able to interact with the species in various ways.

The Emissary-form will often find some rudimentary way of concealing its body, so as to not completely overwhelm those it is forced to interact with. When not requiring the use of its full form, its various limbs will retract, and the tendril-limbs extending from what can be considered its spine will act as a snake-like body.

In the rare event that the Acruen needs to enter combat, it will extend its memetically compressed major limbs out of its sockets, and lower a torso-gimble out of its torso to act as a waist. In this form, it is usually designed for optimal speed, with various tarsal digits that have almost completely free-range movement, allowing for both heavy lifting, high-range speed and fine interaction with small objects.

Emissaries do not usually come equipped with Acruen weapons, which are typically not needed in human environments, which only possess low threat technology. Rather, its low-bridged suspension shield is enough to protect against most ranged attacks, non-nuclear attacks. Its range of movement, speed and strength make it unstoppable in close-range combat, even against groups of Amortals or small armies of Vomiciles. The Emissary form is sometimes outfitted so that its suspension shield can allow for limited flight when needed. It is usually only in this mode that it can deploy its one major weapon: a high-yield infantry class particle cannon. This weapon is usually outfitted as a transforming gimble or modular device on the arm, or in the chest cavity. It can create explosions up to five megatons on some chassis.

Emissaries are rare, and only deployed when the environment of a herded population of humans is considered to have reached beyond the threshold that is considered manageable. For this reason, Emissaries are often seen as heralds of destruction, when some outside force anticipated by the Acruen finally arrives.
