This is my piece for the 2016 Werewolf Calendar.
 
My assignment was to do a concept based on a Songline: “Within the animist belief system of Indigenous Australians, a songline, also called dreaming track, is one of the paths across the land (or sometimes the sky) which mark the route followed by localised ‘creator-beings’ during the Dreaming. The paths of the songlines are recorded in traditional songs, stories, dance, and painting.” I wanted to suggest the Australian roots of this without necessarily making this a pack of Dingoes in the Outback. More I wanted to show the connection between Earth and sky, that perhaps the singer is singing about that connection to her avid listeners. Her young pupil sits next to her, eager to learn the songs.
