Hello hello! Last post I said I was going to aim for de-escalation for my next project. And I only sort of succeeded. :P I outsourced the background to a nordic house from a stock pic, and the background scenery from also Nordic landscape stock images. Still, I’m happy how this one turned out, and happy that I didn’t spend a kabillion hours drawing it up!

So, this is my fanart for an awesome indie gem of a video game called HOWL. The premise of Howl is that you play as a werewolf huntress during a werewolf curse outbreak. What sets it apart from most werewolf rules is that the transformation is triggered not via bite or scratch, but instead just HEARING a werewolf howl. To make it worse (better?) these are permanent transformations, hear a howl from a close enough proximity and you turn completely as the howl concludes. This of course means, entire villages and farms are turned in minutes. Terrifying and exciting!!

The huntress you play as is the perfect one to take them on too! She’s born deaf. Meaning, she is completely immune to the curse!!

Its a puzzle game, and you can see footage on youtube. And the game is on Steam!!

So for this art piece, I wanted to include a short story involving creating a more indepth explanation to what happens when you hear the howl, and get into some kinky business since that’s what my art and stories here are all about. But instead, decided to keep this as faithful to the game as possible out of respect. ^_
