Biography: An orphan left at the mercy of the State, Xie did not have a happy childhood neither did she receive any love or even the warmth of affection. She was endured to go mental and physical pain, even put to work in dangerous conditions as the heads of the orphanage put her and the orphaned kids to work. She would eventually run away from the orphanage would resort to a life of petty crime. At the age of 17, she was arrested by the police and then sent off to court. She was given two proposals: Go to prison or do military service. Rather than going to prison, she chose military service.

She was placed into the People’s Liberation Army Marine Corps, where the training was brutal and to also partake in political indoctrination which she resented majorly. She would be assigned in small anti-piracy operations and later posted into warships doing patrols across Chinese territorial waters.

With resentment and hatred towards the country and political system that abused her, she began to conspire to escape towards a better life. She would charm her way into officer’s meetings and learn everything she could. She also had to play temptress and employed blackmail and assassination as a way to get what she wanted. Once she had enough, she stole a military hovercraft and navigated it across the Taiwan Strait, braving choppy waters and a dangerous storm. She would reach Taiwan, where she was detained.

She was held in custody of the Military Intelligence Bureau [Taiwan/ROC’s intelligence agency] where she stated she wished to defect as she became disillusioned with the CCP and detested the system and wanted out. She wanted to live a free life like those in Taiwan and the West. She delivered information and the cargo of the hovercraft. She would still be in custody of the MIB but made the best of it.

She would get Taiwanese citizenship, passport, documents, stipend, and a studio apartment that the government would pay for a year but after that she was on her own. She would attend night classes to learn English, computers, and other skills that she never learned. She managed to get her skills up to date and would apply to jobs, even with her papers and proof of citizenship, she was looked at suspiciously or even denied for her Mainland origins. She was not going to give up, neither would she allow the circumstances to defeat her.

Even as she applied for work, she was turned down. It was not until she was contacted by a businessman who needed her skills. The businessman had a daughter who was kidnapped by a Triad and was being held hostage in the United States, in California. She was curious, wasn’t Taiwan supposed to be America’s allies? Wouldn’t they do anything about the case? It was in this point that she learned how the world really works. The businessman offered her hard currency for this and the most essential question: “You know how to handle the HK MP5 or G3?” to which she replied: “Yes.”

Smuggled into Mexico, she met with a contact that provided her with a selective-fire G3 rifle, and a .45 ACP pistol. Once she got her weapons, she was smuggled into San Fransisco where she would look around. She would later start attacking the various Triads, and of course, she would get the information about the kidnapped daughter. With no time to lose, she made her way to the daughter’s location, rescuing her after an intense gun fight. With the mission complete, she was paid 500,000 Swiss Francs, more money that she could ever make while she was in the PLA Marines. After that, ways were parted.

She would later be recruited into a small mercenary outfit composed of international operators, all of them doing the dirty work that no one wanted to do. Money was good, and traveling around the world for bloody work satisfied a natural wanderlust.

The crew would disband, and everyone would go on their separate ways, with her still active. What the future holds for her, it is to be seen.

Personality and Traits: A survivor who refuses to be put down, and the fact she has a hatred for the communist system that has ruled the Mainland since 1949. Intelligent, charming, and with a natural curiosity that can fill in the gaps, as she used it when she was in the PLA Marines and when in her first job as a mercenary. She enjoys reading magazines about machinery, vehicles, weaponry, and the sciences as these are topics that she is passionate about. She has a major distaste for politics, the Mainland Chinese politics or seeing things from their point of view. While she has money in the bank, she prefers to live frugally and only getting what is essential but she does indulge herself in fine dining and expensive clothes. She is always on the move, as she lives a life of international intrigue and danger, a life that so many in the trade she is in find normal.
