My gosh. What do you say about the perfect picture, you know? It feels like there’s nothing I can say that isn’t already on the canvas, but I’ll give it a shot!

Being a crane and all, Cellina is very tall. It can be difficult to get a sense of her height and proportions across in art, thanks to the pesky wider-than-tall nature of our non-mobile monitors. Besides that, I’ve been a little lax over the years at really getting Cellina’s details squared away when it comes to the color of her arms and beak. I’ve been meaning for a while now to have a commission done which had it all, so I wouldn’t have to put artists through the pain of reading through my ref bundles (“the proportions from this one, the colors from this one, the beak from this one…”). I’d worried that it was going to be challenging to have it done without ending up annoying an artist my nitpicking.

Well, it turns out I had nothing to fear, because B.Koal absolutely nailed it on the first try! Not only is this a stunningly gorgeous piece in its own right, I’m also very comfortable calling it the perfect Cellina.

So I hope you’ll join me in appreciating this lovely view of Cellina Longfeather, executive director of Shift-Tec and one of the most private and enigmatic figures in the Forest. <3
