Description
Rudolph went and led the sleigh just as he did on Christmas Eve of ’64. Although he continued worrying about Janice, he knew he still had to guide the team or he certainly would let down all the children.
Eventually, after the last present was delivered, the team rushed straight back to the North Pole. Upon landing, Rudolph was in such a hurry to get home to his family that he never stuck around to receive praise from everyone or let the elves take off his harness. He whizzed away like a Sabre jet to his cave. And sure enough, his wife, daughter and friend were still there. “I’m home, sweetie,” Rudolph said to Clarice, exhausted but happy.
After he and Clarice kissed, Rudolph turned his attention to Janice. “How are you feeling, Janice?”, he asked. “I’m starting to feel better, Daddy”, she said. Indeed her condition had started to improve. She then continued, “I’m proud of you, Daddy. I knew you wouldn’t let me down.” “Certainly not, sugar cookie.” said Rudolph before he turned his attention to Hermey and said to him, “Thank you so much, Hermey. You did great for someone who’s a dentist.” “Not a problem, Rudy”, said Hermey. “Anything for my best bud. And at this rate, as long as Janice continues getting rest, she should be fully healed by tonight or tomorrow.”
Indeed, by December 26th, Janice finally made a full recovery.
