In Guild Wars, you could use NPCs to fill up your party instead of humans. Since Guild Wars is very unfriendly to soloers, you sometimes needed at least one henchmen when you wanted to farm specific things, like perfect unique weapons. Unfortunately, henches tended to consume all rare drops and would steal most of your gold, which they were too good to pick up themselves.
