Well of course Viola paid a visit to that erotic photo boutique! Viola’s home ‘verse is a bit swords-and-sorcery, and does not have the technology for photographic reproductions of such vivid color, so having such a high-quality photo of herself still strikes her as a bit of a novelty. Even having lived in the Forest for a fair bit, now, she hasn’t lost her sense of wonder about some of what is available and commonplace here. Of course, our dear lizardfolk isn’t on board with some of the more frivolous technological advances everyone around here is so enamored with. These blasted digital clocks, for example! She’ll take a proper mechanical clock any day of the week.

In any event, our photographer was more than happy to have another customer, and especially an older woman like Viola. Letting the natural beauty of his subjects shine is his calling, and he couldn’t possibly pass up the opportunity with her. He was surprised to the scars when she disrobed for the shoot, but not quite shocked. While this sort of thing is uncommon in the Forest, adventurers from more violent verses do now and then settle down in the Forest for a nice, quiet retirement. Viola’s adventuring days are well behind her at this point, but she still bears the marks.

Viola has never been ashamed or embarrassed about her scars—they are simply a fact about her—but our photographer has resolved to help her see them as not merely a bit of trivia, but something beautiful.
