Hur hur hur, I’ve been playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon liek woah for the past three weeks or so. I’m a big Pokemon junkie, iffin’ you didn’t know, so of course I’m gonna play this one %D For those uninitiated, this particular game puts you, the player, in the body of a Pokemon (which is determined by a personality test at the beginning), and with the partner pokemon of your choice, you start a rescue team and… help people! A’yup. Much fun, it is :aww:I’m a Pikachu, that I am! I named myself Moriri (as that’s my DS username, anyway), although I often refer to myself as MoriChu. So if I do that at any point in the future, don’t get confused; it’s just me! My partner is the lovable (if a little sheepish) Kirby the Bulbasaur. Am I the only one that took a Bulbasaur as a partner? :XD: I see all these Torchics and Cyndaquils and Squirtles, but Bulbasaur was always my favorite! :heart:Our Rescue Team name is Rose (as you see), and no, it’s NOT supposed to be a cheap knockoff of Team Rose from Sonic Heroes. Totally unintentional! I actually re-used the name I gave my clan in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, good ol’ Clan Rose. Ah, ironically enough, apparently one of the NPC clans you can fight in that game is named Rose XD;; I’ve never seen them, but my friends have told me it’s some ragtag group of mediocre Moogles. Huh, no fair! Now, more on the picture! I stylized the designs a little bit, most notably giving my Pikachu-self the same bangs I normally have, a pink scarf and a sort of shoulder bag (to cart around items). Kirby has a fuzzy head or something, even though Bulbasaurs having any sort of fuzz to speak of is debatable, what with them being rather reptillian in apperance ^^; but I’ve always added wacky tufts of fur on a lot of pokemon I draw, so force of habit.Escort missions in PMD can be really annoying! You have to drag around a level 1 pokemon for your escort, which could be problematic enough if you’re not careful, but it’s REALLY annoying if that escort has some sort of ability-boosting attack (such as Synthesis) that it WON’T. STOP. USING. Even if it’s out of PP, it’ll keep trying to use the move, and you can’t walk/attack at the same time. So you have to step back to allow them to catch up, and hope that they don’t wander off on their own. Have I mentioned they like to wander off on their own? Or try to be the hero and attack enemy pokemon? Yeeeeah, doesn’t bode well. Don’t escort any Vileplumes, Skiplooms or Swinubs, okay? :D And that’s just a few…Sorry this picture isn’t super-neato or anything; I really wanted to do some Pokemon art for DA, and I needed a break from other art-related projects.I actually have several sketches of my rescue team compadres all anthropomorphicised, because I was bored and wanted to mess with character design. Would you guys like to see some sketches, maybe? ^^; I was just amused by the offhand concept of “hey, let’s reverse the human-made-pokemon thing.”. In comparison, I never anthro-ize MoriChu, because… well, that’s just me with a tail, huh? XD (being able to shoot electricity would be pretty awesome, though)
