I felt like drawing a third part of Janice’s birth.
Janice had only been around since 11:30 in the morning, and she had mastered the art of walking at 7 in the evening. Although her legs were wobbly, she still kept at it.
However, Janice’s first time walking would last no more than fifteen seconds. Before that amount of time was even up, she let out a sneeze. As a result, she lost her balance and stumbled around the cave before plopping down on another pile of hay.
Fortunately, she didn’t get hurt. But she started whimpering anyway. Just as Janice started crying, Rudolph nuzzled up to her. And like the loving father he had just become, he comforted her. “Shhhh. Shhhh, it’s okay, Janice. It’s okay. You’re okay, sweetie,” he said in a soft voice. “There’s no need for tears, honey. We’re not mad or disappointed. In fact, we’re all proud of you. Shh, it’s okay, Janice. Daddy and Mommy are here. You’re going to be okay.” And Janice began to calm down.
Just like the artist behind this picture, Hermey felt like he was about to die from such preciousness. But he quickly regained his composure. As he was about to leave, Hermey said “Once again, congrats, lovebirds. And goodnight.”
Rudolph then helped Janice over to where Clarice lay. And as everyone drifted off to sleep, Rudolph thought about just how lucky he was. He saved Christmas, and for his reward, he got to start a family.
