Description
The Birds love to barter things. They will exchange even highly valuable items like light-specks for seemingly worthless things. What they deem valuable appears completely random and nonsensical. This makes them attractive trading partners.
However, you should know the Birds do not recognize the concept of joking. They will take you at your word very literally.
So you should not, under any circumstances, jokingly offer to sell yourself in exchange for anything. They will accept your trade, and now you’re stuck serving them. They will make you wear silly hoods and do potentially humiliating things for their amusement. If you try to refuse, they will convince you otherwise with their sharp claws and pointy beaks.
You can only hope your friends can find an interestingly shaped rock or something to buy you back with.
