There was a period of time I had to leave my pens and pencils at home. Before I got my driverse license. Otherwise I would not be allowed into my local SS office.
I remove a lot of the pencil casing when ever I do graphite/charcoal. Very brittle, but with a light hand you can get a lot of coverage. The bag check did nit think so.
Basically I had to sit in the waiting room either with my phone or a book to read.
