Yes… I know I drew a very similar picture to this with Xai and Kaa recently.
And yes, I know I have redrawn this scene like a hundred times.
But it’s just so fun, and I just started doodling, and before I knew it, I had a really good sketch I wanted to finish XD
So I hope you enjoy regardless.

I opted for no shading this time to feel a little closer to the jungle book feel (just without all the paintedness) since sometimes it just feels a bit much and it can often feel nicer just having it in flat colours like this.
I wonder why Xai was travelling with Ruby? Not sure, but I guess they do need to hang out more. At least, if they can make it out of this tree without becoming a midnight snack to a hypnotic serpent.

It sounds like Xai’s been getting on Ruby’s nerves with his constant pestering though. Maybe he should just be quiet already.
