While I don’t consider myself a Phoenix Wright fan, I have been rather interested in playthroughs of Duel Destinies and Spirit of Justice. But something that has captured my attention is how the game is, more or less, 3D models in a space, yet are made to look like anime. I was astounded, as the other way to achieve such an effect is though cellshading. But it looks as though the effect is done entirely through the textures, with very little lighting, if any. I’ve been wanting to try such an effect, but I’ve been too lazy to experiment with my own characters.
 
So cue several weeks ago, I came across Corvus by Akysi:

I liked the character, and it would be a good excuse to try and recreate that anime-like effect. After a brief conversation, she gave me her blessing to create Corvus in 3D and animate him in typical Ace Attorney fashion.
 
Unfortunately, due to pressing matters in life, I wasn’t able to complete all of the animations I’ve wanted to do. The animations were taking a lot longer to complete then I had anticipated, and it was getting to the point I was starting to get burnout. So I felt it best to stop and upload the few animations I’ve completed so far. But I do intend to finish up the renaming animations in the near future.
