Aseliel took to the air again.
 
“to hell with this, mother superior, the sisterhood needs to defend the target, and tear to ribbons the sinners of hell!”
 
that was the signal for the nuns to reveal their true form, a floating mannquin torso, with a lot of sharp implements on cables now swirling around them.

Sureshvara may not have seen the figure in the Mars Securities uniform following the payload team into the building while he was distracted, but Aseliel may have seen it. Both can definitely hear the incoming sounds of gunfire and motors, though, as another wave of ganger vehicles approach the truck from both streets.

“They’re on their way now. You might want to work quickly, though; our Ganger friend saw what the merc did to those other guys and isn’t sure how long our guys will last.”
 
Thankfully the carrier is still somewhat exposed, the security team nearly in formation but not yet entirely reunited with their target

Seems like that worked like a charm, and now…to get the guy with the case separated from the group so she can do a little smash and grab. She’d get on her coms saying “Now signal for our distraction…”

Aseliel looks the captured ones over.
 
“you have made your choice, and i can guess what the shark has planned… you will- wait… Sureshvara, more problems, now they’re going directly for you know what.”

Stealing each of their wallets and any money or valuables on them, he then leads them all into that one vehicle of theirs toppled over, picking up the barest hint of slowly-leaking gasoline… Constantly flicking open and closing a stolen lighter, he looks over them all, though waits to see what Aseliel would want to do with them.

The gangers’ resist arrest, but most are too disoriented or too weak to put up enough of a fight as they are all apprehended.

On her mark, Ares jams the Corp agents’ communication before the smoke bomb goes off. This creates enough of a panic that they struggle to assume a defensive formation, though between the jamming and the smoke this proves more difficult than they anticipated, requiring them to rely on limited line of sight and audio to reunite with the carrier.

Seems like everyone is distracted…she’d wait for the package team to look like they were clear before making her move. She’d briefly check to make sure if she brought what she’d need as she made her way over to the group…which she did. Good. “Ares jam those guys guys on my mark….3…2…1… Now.” A few seconds later she’d send off a smoke grenade or two into the bunch…should keep her covered from both visual and thermal as she slipped into the group. Hopefully in the chaos they wouldn’t be able to tell her apart, should give her enough time to grab the case put her backup plan in motion.

Leaping down off the building, catching windowsills, fire-escapes, and other gripping-points as he descends, he works his way quickly through the incapacitated, still-alive gangers, zip-tying each and every one he reaches and disarms.

Sureshvara gets to witness Aseliel knock the rocket-launcher-wielding ganger on his ass as he makes a flying charge at his weapon and forces his aim upward
 
”…yes, over.” he hears crackle over his radio.

“Good luck, Fortune.” The diversion may not be necessary as she witnesses the ‘preacher’ take down the ganger with the rocket launcher, which seems to grab the merc’s attention as he speaks on his comms.

Mmm…she’ll try and blend in until she’s right on top of them, Fortuna racing to catch up with the bunch in the chaos while she could. Of course who’s to say what happens once she does catch up. “ARES think I can slip in and out if the boys can create another diversion….I’ll keep you posted.”

Panning the scene set before him carefully for any more threats, he radios his charges.
 
“…This is Sureshvara, yes or no answer; is the package clear out of danger?”

those of his followers he hadn’t brought for a fight were at work ushering the remaining civilians to safety.
 
Aseliel: “that one is determined, i hate getting involved directly but.”
 
he took to the air, slamming into the rocket launcher and pushing the barrel upward.

You see the screaming has incapacitated the gangers, though the remnants of the civilian crowd are not immune to its effect either

The gangers were not nearly prepared for the sonic assault, and drop to the ground clutching their ears, some at the expense of their weapon. The one wielding the rocket launcher is at least able to maintain his grip, but at the expense of his footing

“Copy that. Moving into position.”
 
The building where the carrier team was across the street from the one she watched from, and within the massive shark merc’s field of vision, though with his attention focused on the small crowd of Gangers below it would probably not be difficult to find an angle of approach that would not call his attention, and even so her stolen Mars Security uniform was of similar enough design to the ones protecting the payload to not raise immediate suspicion from an aside glance

Putting a building between themselves and the chaos…yeah thats gotta be the package making a break for it. “ARES, new target. Small team heading away from the fight, should be coming out on the other side of that building on the south. I’m gonna see if I can’t hunt them down. Be ready to join the chase.” And she’s off chasing after the small bunch now that they have separated from someone she’d need an anti-armor railgun to kill.

For a brief second, Sureshvara winces, interrupted in the middle of reloading. As the anechoic foam inserts over his ears adjust within his helmet, he peers over the edge of the roof, looking to see how the gangers are faring meanwhile to the acoustic attack.

Aseliel also saw an overhanging billboard one with a sound system he quickly tuned to the max and had it play a screech that sounded like a mechanical amp screaming for help while in an industrial shredder.

The sudden spray of fire shreds a couple gangers and scatters the rest, one taking aim at the truck with his rocket launcher

You see the cyborg scatter the gangers from the impromptu fortification of their wrecked vehicles, though you do see one break formation and level a rocket launcher at the truck. The crowds have not fully dispersed and doubtless would be threatened by the blast…

You see the carrier and his escorts safely enter the upper floor of a nearby building, doubtless expecting to escape on the other side

Flanking them from high above on a roof to their side, Suresh draws his rifle with his natural pair of arms as one of his cybernetic ones draws his pistol set to full-auto, while the other cyberlimb holds a smoke grenade ready in the event he needs to conceal Aseliel or his guards on the road below.
 
Aiming his two guns down unto the gangers below, he then shoots, raking his gunfire upward along their position, though focusing with worried surprise on the rocketeers as he sees the big things hefted on their shoulders & backs.

The event sends the occupants of the other two vehicles tumbling out in a panic as they try to use the two (plus one former) trucks as cover to prepare for whatever crippled their lead vehicle. These gangers seem better-equipped than the usual riffraff, not exactly top-of-the-line equipment but decently armed and armored with jailbroken and jury-rigged tactical gear and machine guns, though some also appear to be carrying heavier ordinance like rocket launchers.

With a loud clang, the pair of tubes release a pair of flaming bolts screeching forth into the barrier-vehicle, one bolt sinking through the roof into the driver’s seat, the other into the rear cabin.
 
In an instant, the driver’s compartment lights up from a brief flash of light, just before the windshield and side-windows are all tinted by a sudden smattering of red, slowly leaking out of the vehicle and unto the pavement as a crimson puddle… Passengers hidden inside the rear cabin likely suffering the same censored fate from the second bolt, as the explosion leaves the vehicle’s sides visibly billowed outward a bit now.
 
Sureshvara then climbs up to the roof, moving across the buildings to flank those within the other two trucks behind.

The vehicle’s acceleration stopped, but its momentum did not, and since it was moving at a similar speed as the ones behind it their collision did not have much effect, at first. In time though the coasting vehicle could not keep up with its armored “assistant” and began to spin out. The third vehicle almost deliberately maneuvered to catch it on its spin and in doing so forced it on its side, forming a sort of horizontal barrier supported by the two that screeched horribly and belched sparks from where it made contact with the pavement. It was unlikely the drivers of either vehicle could actually see beyond it, however…

Also focusing on the lead vehicle, a track of rings within both tubes running the length of his forearm begin to glow from induction as he aims from his raised position; it’ll take a few, if only three or less seconds to wind the compulsator up…

Fortuna meanwhile had other ideas, she can work with this… “We’ll use the chaos to our advantage. Tell the boys to stand down but stay close, we’ll bide our time on the sidelines. I still got eyes on the package.”

one of the floating orbs that accompanied Aseliel attached to his staff and started sparking, he then flung it at the lead vehicle.
 
the plan was that that vehicle would loose engine power causing the rest to get crunchy with it.

“They had another reason to leave, and it’s headed your way now!”

The security detail is able to help the courier ascend a nearby empty building, and just in time as the crowds start to scatter.

His flock is able to help funnel some of the crowd away from the scene as well as hold the advancing mob at bay

The roar of the crowd is soon matched by the roar of engines as a group of armed Ganger vehicles can be seen speeding down the road occupied by the mob toward the truck. The crowd frantically tries to part to escape the road, but it may be too late…
