On the subject of My Little Pony generational divides, the tags currently set up are pretty inconsistent.

Should images of burn scars (like >>316802, >>301101, and >>312065) be rated as grimdark?

Because some are sensitive to heavy scars, considering them scary, but some of the images on Derpi aren’t tagged with grimdark or semi-grimdark, and the first image on Furbooru with the burn scar tag (>>2078) is also not tagged with grimdark. But I saw that >>84043 is rated with grimdark because of the burn scar, so I don’t know if images of burn scars need to be rated as grimdark, or there is a problem rating burn scar images as grimdark.

People keep tagging vulvas as vagina when there’s no internal shot. I think these people might be under the impression that vagina means the labia and clitoris and it doesn’t. Vulva refers to all of that.

I have noticed the appearance of a new tag, vulpes, on some images. Now, I understand that the corresponding real-life genus encompasses only some, but not all, of the species included by our fox tag. Since somebody has already created this new, narrower tag, I propose that we fully embrace it. The first step then should be to make it a brown species tag, as it currently is green. Next, implications should be added to it, namely fox, canine, and mammal. Finally, all of the following currently existing tags should in turn imply “vulpes”:

flutter shy should alias to fluttershy (mlp).

It looks like there’s 156 images on that tag, and I see everything from cartoon death to literal gore so fixing this will be very case-by-case. I’ll add a note for myself to go through and get them moved to whichever rating is more appropriate.

So did others not rate the semi-grimdark images right, rating it with safe/suggestive despite with blood/gore?

Not really. The reason it was removed is because the furry fandom is considered more mature than the pony fandom. It should still exist here though, due to filter concerns.

Not sure where to request tags to become blue, but semi-grimdark is so used it could be a blue tag like in Derpi.
