Days, weeks merged into one. For the next few months, Ultra’s only task was to live until she could fulfil her destiny and lay the eggs that were developing in her body.
 
Put into Stasis chamber, hooked up to a mass of systems which constantly and precisely monitored her state, she rested. Her slumber was interrupted from time to time when she regained consciousness for a few minutes, but just as quickly she returned to her dream; to the state in which it was easiest to control the procedure.
 
To the surprise of those overseeing the experiment, Ultra was remarkably calm, and even during her brief awakenings all she did was embrace her belly in an act of love. - a sign that she was adjusting better than expected despite her initial resistance. She didn’t panic and was fully reconciled to her role.
