The truth is, no matter how you came into the Sonic franchise, be it the video games, AoStH, SatAM, Archie, Fleetway, Underground, Boom, IDW or any of the other continuities, we’re all fans of the same franchise!

This piece was an epic collaboration between Knothole’s Nex and :iconjonathondobbs: for the Sonictober challenge of Day 19. The idea was to send a message that no matter which canon or characters you prefer, which ones you like or dislike, it’s all part of the same franchise and we should respect the likes of other fans even if we don’t like a certain canon or character.

Each segment is meant to represent a part of the overall franchise. Starting from the top clockwise, we have the Classic era, followed by the DiC cartoons, next up being the Archie comic series and then the Fleetway comic series, IDW following up there and then there’s the Boom canon and then finally we have the Modern era.

JonathonDobbs did the pencils for the DiC cartoons, Archie and IDW segments on the Ring as well as providing the inking.

Nex did the pencils of the Classic, Fleetway, Boom and Modern segments of the Ring as well as adding Sonia and Manic to the DiC cartoons segment and he also did the colours.

Also, please no “Why wasn’t this character included?” or “Why doesn’t it feature this part of the franchise?”. Just enjoy it for what it is!
