I finally decided to make a proper colored drawing of my character Azad, one where his markings and fur patters are clearly visible. He generally wears quite a lot of clothes, but I made him topless just for the sake of admiring all that cat goodness. Isn’t he just handsome?!?

As the title says, Azad is a member of one of the many nomadic tribes that live in the vast deserts west of Sirath. Or rather, he used to be: he was banished from his tribe after he killed his own uncle, who was also the leader of the raid group he was part of. His uncle was a pretty horrible and sadistic person, who killed his fair share of innocent civillians on a whim, but that did not matter. Azad still murdered a respected warrior and he was lucky enough to be just banished rather than killed. Both him and his war-bird Tara were cast out and his name was taken from him. He chose the name Azad later on his own, and nobody knows his original name.

Unfortunately, due to his action, Azad became an outcats for everyone. Other nomadic tribes would never accept an exiled and dishonored warrior, and the people from the city states hate all nomads with a burning passion thanks to the tense history between sedentary and nomadic people. The poor guy is all alone, with only his bird for company.
