@Sky
If you block-quote some of my RP posts with images in them, you’ll see alot of them have Discord URLs.
The storyline in itself kinda just happens as characters convey toward the goal, act, and react to events around them, or the participants formulate their own interactions among eachother (which I like, cuz that means I don’t have to work as much, and so a good reason to have PCs work together
:P). The “GM”‘s goal is kinda like feeding fuel to keep them moving, always remembering what your working toward, while remembering all the tools at their disposal that they’ve used, haven’t used, or might be able to reuse.
Another thing is milestones to make it feel like there’s progress, though these can be skipped to through detailed character-moving posts, as well as move it, if it’s a location, closer to the characters, since it’s all in your head:
as a ‘‘GM’’, you get to make, and break the rules. :P
In the Niraya Complex thread for example, I’m thinking I should reveal the next big hurdle soon that’s standing between them and escaping. (I need to think of how to make it look fucked-up and grotesque as hell, so I’ve got three ideas in storage to cobble together for it)
The biggest hurdle I’ve had really (& still kinda do) is typing fast enough, using proper grammar and word-placement to drive in ideas succinctly, and keeping up with events if more than one person is posting. just before posting myself, I try to middle-mouse-click the bell to open up another tab then look if there’s any posts that’ve been made while I was typing, then rework the post to fit the recent entries.
