Climbing along the mooring spars propping the small LOTV (lander & orbital transfer vehicle) at the heart of the hangar bay, he checks the craft around once over just to be sure, before sealing the entry hatch with himself aboard. Fastened aseat, his hands hover across the beset control panels, before grasping the side-yoke as piloting skillware boots up within his head.

as the turrets finish the sound of a strong motor is heard inside as something plows out of the door and over the turrets, one of the sweepers.
 
Midnight: “that one’s not under my control or the facility’s… yeah it’s berserk… good luck.”
