The synth-bodies begin to tremble slightly, some even cracking the ice-walls they’re encased within.
 
Their pupils begin to illuminate in blue, matching the monolith’s glow. Dozens of eyes dilate and focus on the two.
 
Rameshvara, looking around confusedly, then looking worriedly toward Imos: “Ehh…?”

“these bodies don’t have independent thought. This is no different than a camera drone.”

The bodies begin to rise, many lurching forth umbalancedlike, with a hunch to their posture…
 

 
Rameshvara:

“except of course they have limbs and getting flailed at bloody well hurts…”
 
he blasts the first with his ionizer.

The shot stops short of surge-protectors, stunning the synth-zombie for a few precious seconds as it audibly resets its breakers, but more noticeably blows its eyes out, making it hold its face painedly for a moment after movement returns to its body… it then gazes up with empty eyeholes, sparks emanating almost furiously from those skull-ports at what he’d just done.
 
Nearly a dozen proceed to advance slowly toward Imos… Curiously, the eyeless one doesn’t aim it’s face right towards him.
 
Near the entrance into this catacomb, Rameshvara steps forward, prepared to try and pulverize everything between him and the lizard, beneath the bulk and strength of his landmate, but stops cold in his tracks when one synth turns to face him; it’s face still partially covered uncannily by loosely-hanging pieces that’d once formed an articulate face.

(umm, the ionizer is specifically for busting currents out of the cables. Also first wave synths don’t wear latex.)

The crowding “synth-zards” and ‘robolds’ release Imos and step back after a few seconds, standing as if with servile acquiescence in anticipation of any order about to be given from their organic-skinned counterpart…
 
 
Ramesh: “…Weren’t you like, their boss, at some point? Come to think of it, how long have they been down here?”
