If we’re not allowed to talk about politics, how do we decide what is and what isn’t politics? The very notion of the way y’all even phrase the issue as “cancel culture” in the current political climate belies your dancing around it and conveys where you stand politically, yet if I say something in response, then I’m the one “bringing politics into it” somehow.
 
Is it basically, “We can talk about politics as long as it’s never direct and only through not-so-sublte passive aggression and implications?” Because that’s what it feels like on this website.

The truth is that when the stakes are this high, society exists within a political war, and nobody wants to give those who run counter to their side one inch of ground in this fight. When you’ve been through and seen what I fucking have you don’t want to give your opposition one goddamned inch.

IIRC, it took a bunch of posting in Derpi’s vent thread for the mods to finally relent and create a political containment thread. Ofc, Derpi was at its peak popularity with bronies at the time.
 
I don’t know if it will work here, though. #1: Furbooru isn’t as big. And #2: someone already tried to create a containment thread…it was shut down immediately. I guess they REALLY hate political discussions here. IDK (shrug).

Actually, they probably just don’t want people fighting or saying nasty things to or about people. I doubt it has anything to do with not wanting to “challenge their views,” being that not everyone here, including the staff, even have all the same political viewpoints anyway.
 
The kind of blanket assumption you’re making leads to the kind of fighting I’m referring to. It helps no-one to be reductive, granted at times I mess that up myself. Anger is a layered emotion that masks hurt and grievances. It is difficult to deal with, at times justified, but also easily misplaced.

My boss is an idiot. She gave me more work than I can complete in an 8-hour day, I’m the only one doing the warehouse work, I keep getting delayed to take care of the welders’ parts needs and to help unload trucks…AND SHE GIVES ME SHIT FOR NOT GETTING EVERYTHING DONE! What a stupid bitch! How the fuck is she a manager?!
 
And I don’t even get overtime!

She’s a manager because she gives people shit. In American capitalism and corporate management, workers are considered expendable and managed best by a big stick and a little carrot. Harder, harder, go go go. It doesn’t matter if you’re already the fastest or the best, or the slowest and the worst, if you’re on the clock, odds are you’re gonna get bitched at to work harder.

That is certainly a drawback to capitalism, especially when it descends into corporatism and neoliberalism. (And I say this as a right-leaning libertarian.)

Once again: too many orders to fulfill and not enough time to get them all done.
 
And still no overtime.

I keep getting notifications that someone commented on the same image that I did, and then I go to it and it’s removed- rule 6. I’m beginning to wonder if it’s just a coincidence, or if somebody has some kind of beef or obsession with me and are stalking my comments.

Never have I went crazy, for one cannot go where they already reside. Insanity is my domicile, where the orphanage sent me many moons ago, for tea and honey and everything lovely. I look out over the horizon sometimes and glimpse clarity now and then, but then the sound of 1,000 machines, devouring the masses in a cacophony of toil, overwhelms all. Then I scream, but no sound comes out, as I see the filaments of sanity extracted towards the newer, darker vista that has been mandated for us.

I’m gonna try to go to bed and not kill myself.
