Lol. Everybody loves to point out Texas’ GDP, but never the homophobic, chauvinist, cousin-fucking culture, or the poverty rate near 15%. If you’re gonna talk shit about New York and California, that’s fine. Every place has their problems that should be addressed after all… but I’ll talk shit about Texas and the south then too. I’ve lived there and New York both. Anecdotally, it’s even crazier down there.

Actually scratch that, social media isn’t good for productive dialogue and good mental health anyway. Fuck it, I’ll just log out and never use an online forum ever again.

Texas has MANY jobs, but we also have 13 MILLION people in state. A lot of people that are in poverty are lazy, or drug addicts. Usually both in some towns.
 
Despite what everyone thinks, the majority of the state are well mannered people, and not “cousin fuckers”.
 
Despite your comment about the apparent massive homophobia, explain to me why there are so many gays, bi sexuals, lesbians, and otherwise in texas? Im one of them, yet i dont deal with that kind of stuff.

California is the 5th largest economy in the world and the US leader in green policies, as well as a fairly robust sense of social equality and inclusivity, albeit with a similar plague of corporatism and economic inequality to much of the rest of the nation.
