Do I still count as an artist?

…IF the last art of any kind I drew was in 2018, and the last time I put out more than a few sketches a year was 8 years ago, in 2012? I don’t think that makes me an artist anymore, I think that just makes me an old man holding on to glory from years past and trying to milk his old work for attention. It’s a difficult position to be in.

I’m pretty sure not drawing anything for a year or two doesn’t mean you suddenly aren’t an artist. Last I saw, we’re still calling Vincent van Gogh an artist, and he hasn’t come out with anything since 1890…
